General Golf Safety
- Always be aware of others on the course
- Never swing when someone is in your line of play
- Yell "FORE!" immediately if your ball heads toward others
- Wait for the group ahead to be out of range before hitting
- Stay alert for flying golf balls
Before Your Lesson or Event
- Warm up properly before physical activity
- Stay hydrated - bring water
- Apply sunscreen and wear appropriate sun protection
- Inform your Pro of any injuries or physical limitations
- Wear appropriate golf attire and footwear
- Check weather conditions before heading out
Equipment Safety
- Inspect equipment before use
- Use equipment only as intended
- Maintain safe grip on clubs at all times
- Store clubs safely when not in use
- Be careful when transporting clubs
Weather Awareness
- Lightning: Seek shelter immediately if you see lightning or hear thunder
- Heat: Watch for signs of heat exhaustion; take breaks in shade
- Cold: Dress in layers; be aware of hypothermia risk
- Rain: Use caution on wet surfaces; consider postponing
Golf Cart Safety
